I’ll cast my vote of...
...sure looks more like the guy than that one purported image of
him that hit the media when he first surfaced internationally
a few years ago.

That is not him in the AP photo (2nd from the right), but it does look like him in the photo at the top of this thread.
The hostages report that he was closely involved with their interrogations and captivity - some kind of intel guy or director. They reported seeing him during their early interrogations and captivity, and then hearing him later on when they were mostly blindfolded.
He may not have been photographed with them but several are certain he was there and very involved with their captivity.
Our government will never acknowledge he was involved simply because we would then have to take some action against him.
That looks like him. He’s the shortest one of the group, gotta be him - LOL
What does the Farsi say? The first characters are numbers—03. I’m not sure but I think the last word says “Ahmadinejad.”
