Don’t know about how well they see at night...but my black lab sees SATAN every time somebody new comes to our house for the first 30 - 90 seconds....(chuckle)

Dogs have evolved to see well... That's where they lost me. I've yet to see a remotely plausible evolutionary (gradualistic) explanation or mechanism for the rise of such a stupendously complex organ and its necessary support systems/structures.
The eye is one of the classic examples of irreducible complexity. (A Series of Eyes, by Michael Behe.)
