I took in 2 abused boys. The hardest one was 13 yrs old when I got him. It was rough going but never in a million years would I ever have given him back. The other was 7 yrs old & my sons knew him. He was left alone nights at 7 yrs old, not fed or cared for. It started that I would have him nights & weekends, but he just stayed with me all the time. I never took any money for the boys. Their parents just couldn't handle them nor did they want them. Those 2 boys are MY SONS in every way. My children look at them as their brothers. They even look like my sons. They do see their parents now at times but I am MOM. I have never regretted it & never will.
