Well, this should shore up Bush’s base for a few months. After the immigration dabacle, they only thing that has kept the president going is the democrat’s blunders.
I was as outraged and disgusted by Bush's actions and statements in the amnesty fiasco as anyone. But he will be president for another year and more, so he's all we've got.
We need to live with that as best we may, which means backing him whenever we can and reminding him when we must.
We still have to deal with that benighted LOST treaty, too, and we need to lean on him and the Republicans to block it. But we need to rely on Bush to pursue the war, fight tax increases, oppose Democrat pork, and block abortion initiatives for the next year.
