Right now, if you asked me who would win the nomination in either party I would say "I don't know".

McCain is doing good in some recent MSM polls.

The Chris Matthews Band: “I get high....I get high....I get high.....McCain.”

No way McCain.

The censor of conservatives doesn’t deserve the support of any conservative.

man we are so screwed.

I know how you feel. Maybe it's darkest before the dawn though & something will happen that will turn things around. The American people are fickle & it seems like they change their minds from day to day.

It's the darn media! They are bound and determined not to give any assistance to the conservative candidates. They think they are going to decide this election & we'd better prove them wrong - or we are in for some dark times.

No matter who we have as the GOp nominee, we all have to geet behind him. No matter how dour it may seem, the GOP nominee, will be much better than Hillary or Obama.

It’s because Rooty has positions in Conservative opinion:

He is Generally unacceptable because Social Conservatives would be Majorally screwed if he is the nominee/President.

From a Conservatives point of view, Rudy offers less then -0-.

In a weird way - if it comes down to Hillary! or Rudy! and Rudy! wins, then that means that social conservatives, or the religious right are dead as a political power. If Hillary! wins, it means the religious right still has the power to make the GOP win or lose.

No matter who we have as the GOp nominee, we all have to geet behind him.

That's the attitude that has placed the Republican party where it is today....a party of weak, spineless RINO's. For this first time voter it will be an exercise of voting for a conservative, a real conservative. There will be no holding of the nose and voting for the lesser of two evils.

I read your FReeper page - God Bless You! Your father sounds like he was a wonderful man, he would be very proud of you I know. I just wish all people your age had half of the sense that you do.

Good for you!

“No matter who we have as the GOp nominee, we all have to geet behind him.”

I don’t vote against a candidate, I vote for a candidate. I’m not voting for a baby killer, a cultist, a socialist dictator, an illegal alien enabler, a half witted selective federalist, or a nutty dhimmi. That leaves two choices, Hunter or Tancredo. If neither of those guys get the nomination I’m writing in my pastor’s name.

I think our elections are corrupted beyond repair and it doesn’t matter much who we actually vote for. We are all just enjoying the illusion...

I'll write-in "Bullwinkle" if the GOP nominates Ruby Julie-Annie...

"Final MSM push to get McCain foistered on us."

Wow, they just will not stop on this McCain crap. I respect the man for what he suffered through in Vietnam, but as a politician and leader, he's the absolute LAST person any real conservative can vote for.

Who keeps pushing this crap and how the heck do they manage to get enough people to select McCain in these polls?

I discuss politics with a LOT of people from the far let to the far right, in the work place, online and inside Wal-Mart even and have NEVER, EVER met a single person who would consider McCain for anything, ever.

Do they simply make these statistics up or what?

Very discouraging. I’d’ve hoped RG’d’ve dropped like a rock by now.

Me? I only know who I WILL NOT vote for in the primary.

RGed top that list. Paul and McLame follow.

The censor of conservatives doesn’t deserve the support of any conservative.

Well put. But don't forget: McCain was the father of campaign finance reform, and Fred Thompson was its long-suffering midwife.

If the father of the censor of conservatives doesn't deserve our support, neither does the midwife that brought that bastard child into the world.

Thank you Alice....

There are a lot of young conservatives out there. We are not however "party loyalists". Why you may ask? The Republican party no longer stands for the principles they long touted. Where is the smaller government? Where is our strong national defense? Why are our elected officials trying to give away our citizenship like a prize in a box of Cracker-Jacks? Why are our borders wide open to the invasion of illegal aliens and terrorists?

The Republican had many years to address these questions. Lets face it, the Republican party has failed in upholding their own stated principles.
