"The less government the better." Shouldn't this also apply to state governments? Should the state of Florida have ordered the murder of Terri in a cruel and unusual fashion? Should Florida have used the power and violent force of government to prevent anyone from even feeding her by hand?

When state governments exceed their authority and act in a tyrannical and autocratic fashion, whose job is it to step in and stop state governments from abusing their power?

The voters. If the voters elect crooks, they deserve to be robbed. If they elect killers, they'll get what they deserve there, as well. And if they don't like who the other guy elects, they can always move.

The people of the state.

First, they could have petitioned the city Mayor to not allow the use of local police to adhere to the state court.

If that failed, go to the county commission. If that failed, petition the state legislature and then the governor.

The bottom line is what is the law in Florida and was it followed or not.

Your line of thinking is no different than that of the Dems who forced the intervention of the federal government into Florida election law because they didn’t like the outcome in 2000. They failed and will never forget it and are horribly bitter.
