I live in Texas and voted NO for all those that called for a bond. A tax by any other name is still a tax.
Cancer research. All the $$$$ that the Medical Center makes, they don’t need any tax $$$$$

Of all the things Texans have lost, they miss their mind the most! We are about to be known as one of the last great states.

Ditto. I did the same knowing it was a lost cause. Off year elections, when less than 10% of the voters go to the polls, makes the whole state vulnerable to agenda driven opportunists.

I can think of five things most people consider more serious than cancer research. What's next?

I did my part, too—I voted NO on everyone of them!
