Not surprising to me. A state that repeatedly elected Dick Gephart. Duncan has many issues on trade in common with Gephart and speaks that lingo very well.
Apparently, it's a Missouri thing.
At any rate, congrats to Duncan on this endorsement. He's a good Republican and we could (and might) do far far worse in a nominee.

The only yes vote I can find from Hunter in dealing with campaign finance reform was a procedural vote that was intended to break it up into many individual parts. The hope was that the 14 seperate parts could be killed individually and push the CFR supporters to bail out.

I would love to see a “Hunter Thompson” ticket— that would tick off the Left on so many levels, including appropriation of the name of a liberal hedonist icon.
To: ZULU
I have switched from Thompson to Hunter myself.

The only increase in spending he would advocate, that I could think of, would be military spending.

I heard Thompson voted for it. He seems like a good man but just doesn’t appear to be all that interested but rather someone who was pushed to the forefront by others. I don’t know where all that enthusiasm for him came from but I’m not one of those who jumpted on his bandwagon. I’ve studied them all and my first choice is Hunter and Romney is second. If Thompson is the nominee I will vote for him but I will never, ever, no way, no how, vote for John McCain....between his CFR and gang of 14 record he’s lost my vote permanently.

What about Hunter/Condi? Not in my book. I'm very disappointed in Condi's performance as Secy of State particularly regarding Israel.

I used to be a fan of the various Republican Assemblies. I met with the Arizona Republican Assembly chairman a number of times. And when the national level organization started up, I spoke to its president a few times. They courted me to start a chapter in my area and then later to combine the conservative Republican Club, for which I served as President, into the assembly. But I found that while I agree wholeheartedly with their positions on conservative issues, that on the whole they are one of the most ineffectual political organizations in the nation. They regularly endorse candidates and then they regularly see nearly every one of their candidates lose. They have not learned that the perfect is the enemy of the good.
