The republic party is not about to become a Pro-Abortion party... There is no movement to remove the plank and to suggest that there is is nonsense.

I know its hard for you to grasp, but not every person in the party or elected to position with an R beside their names (or D for that matter) marches lock step with the platform. However when you have one that doesn’t that doesn’t mean the platform has changed.

Roe V Wade even if 100% overturned does not END abortion, this is another concept some of you seem to not understand. It simply removes it from the federal jurisdiction, which BTW Congress could have done at ANY time... Yes, Congress can remove ANY issue from the perview of the court... Just like they did Reconstruction. We had a Republican congress and a republican Senate for over a decade, and not once was this even brought up.

If the party is so Anti-Abortion in its day to day actions why wasn’t this by the stroke of a pen removed from the perview of the court? Hmmmm?

Politics is pragmatic...Rhetoric is not. What you and others continue to offer is Rhetoric, not practicle and pragmatic realities.

Hey, just 'cause there wasn't "any movement" on D.C. or even CA when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor doesn't mean our country wasn't threatened.

Roe V Wade even if 100% overturned does not END abortion, this is another concept some of you seem to not understand.

I understand this perfectly well. Abortion was a legal reality in NY, Colorado & Hawaii well before Roe v. Wade came along.

..which BTW Congress could have done at ANY time... Yes, Congress can remove ANY issue from the perview of the court... Just like they did Reconstruction.

Only in theory. You underestimate the power of the judiciary, which Congress has not seen free to hold in check in any recent decade.

Politics is pragmatic...Rhetoric is not. What you and others continue to offer is Rhetoric, not practicle and pragmatic realities.

Well, you're right in one sense. Pre-born babies are pragmatically killed on a daily basis, whatever rhetoric is fired overhead.

Actually there is some debate in the academic community about whether Congress could at the same time remove the appelate jurisdiction of the Supreme Court and the original jurisdiction of the federal district courts. Many scholars believe that doing so would conflict with the clause that says that the Judicial power SHALL extend ...
