He also said he has compiled a dossier on his critics at Swift Boat Veterans for Truth....

How nice. I'll bet the SBV4T have compiled more materials as well.

May the best man win.

The best man never wins here.
Ted screaming “Waterboarding” regarding Michael Mukasey today.
After drowning and killing Mary Jo Kopechne in 1968.
No one seems to see the irony!

You know why RED SOX NATION is so Huge?
All of the smart people moved away!

Re “I’ll bet the SBV4T have compiled more materials as well.”

As a researcher on the book “Unfit for Command”, I can say from my own work that we did not use all the information obtained about Kerry and his Vietnam service and role in anti-Vietnam protests, for several reasons.

1. We were on a very tight research/editing deadline so much more information was found after the June 30th, 2004 deadline, and research is still continuing on by a group of historians to track down leads and documents which were known to have existed at one time.

2. Some documents were destroyed in Vietnam as part of routine housecleaning procedure. I would have loved to have found them at the National Archives but they never made it out of Nam. No evil intend; just the clutter of war.

3. Other documents may still exist but they were not properly catalogued for archival saving. They may still show up. I got a piece of one, but could not find sequential reports, etc. There are large gaps in regular document collections for relevant time periods, again a reflection that not everything made it to the U.S. (or Sandy Burgler got to them first).

4. Kerry only released some of his military records to three friendly newspapers/journalists, not all the media as he promised in Jan. 2006. His journals will show him to be a liar as one excerpt about his Special Forces-type hat revealed in a puff piece on him in the Wash. Post.

5. The Wash. Post killed a potentially devastating story on Kerry and the Bay Hap River incident. Let’s say that some of his supporters have been less than truthful.

6. His Joseph Goebbels-like spokesman David Wade has been the key coverup man for him. One day someone might create a list of his lies about the Swifties (I’m not one, but was a Vietnam journalist) as juxtaposed to the truth.

7. No one has been able to find out about Kerry’s two or three trips to Paris to meet with the VC and No. Vietnamese, thought bits and pieces have been found, and they could, if fleshed out, subject Kerry to charges of “treason” and “aiding the enemy.”

Even if Kerry were put under oath (no way with the Democrats in control of Congress), he would either take the 5th about his communist contacts, or would lie.

Time is his protector on this issue, an issue which could put him out of Congress if what a number of us suspect is true, is true. After having worked on internal security issues and communist front operations for over 40 years, I and others know what to look for in terms of a pattern of operational behavior, and Kerry fits it to a “T”.

No one has done a full expose’ on Kerry’s involvement in supporting the Marxist Sandinistas in Nicaragua in the 1980’s, other than some brief items in Stephen Powell’s “Covert Cadre” book and some smaller workers by Michael Waller, Lyn Boucher, and Alan Brownfeld for the Council for Inter-American Security.

No one has explored Kerry’s hiring communists and liars for his congressional committees and/or own staff. This is a landmine waiting to explode.

How about Kerry’s fundraising letter for the communists in El Salvador, complete with his picture on it?

And the beat goes on. Kerry has more skeletons in his closet than a graveyard and he will try to squash anyone who exposes him.

Kerry has no honor, no morals, no conscience and he has proven this since Vietnam. Why should he stop now?

So let me get this straight - he is compiling dossiers on PRIVATE citizens who oppose his presidential candidacy? And is planning to use said dossiers against them?

And Richard Nixon was evil because........?
