Right, but where did the money come from to fund the Institute for Muslim Minority Affairs?

Don't discount the possibility that these designers are giving stuff to Huma. They got lots of free pub when she wore their duds in that Vogue article, and they may be hoping to get Hillary and her staff women to wear their stuff when she is elected. Most of the Hollywood celebs don't pay a dime for their Pradas and Oscars. Every time Gwyneth or Nicole is photographed carrying the latest Dior, they sell thousands of them. Imagine how many handbags you can sell if the first woman POTUS is carrying one to her Inaiguration! Or even if her glamorous Executive Assistant is carrying one.

Now the DC condo is a very different question. While she could have gotten an exotic mortgage with interest only or something like that, she still would have had to make a substantial downpayment for it. I think the most likely explanation is that Hillary gave her the cash. Nothing illegal about it as long as she paid taxes on the income.

Also a good possibility is that Hillary has arranged some nice investments for Huma with her hedge-fund pals including Ron Rosenbaum, Norman Hsu, and Mark Lasky, the guy Chelsea works for.

In the 70s the Saudis gave out a lot of dosh for religious causes, few questions asked. I knew quite a few Americans interested in Sufism who were enabled to study in Saudi. It’s since that time that things have become more politicised. So nothing really odd about Huma’s parents doing that. But the question is, what is Mum teaching now?

Huma Abedin's father was born in India, her mother was born in Pakistan, they wound up in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and then suddenly they turned on a dime, when Huma was about 2 years old, and headed to Saudi Arabia.

What mosque did they attend in Michigan, who was funding that mosque, who was the Imam in charge at the mosque, and who else attended that mosque? This story could really become entertaining. I'm getting the popcorn ready.
