Someone who’s independently wealthy, when offered the opportunity to work as a traveling chief of staff for a prominent politician with whom they agree ideologically, may very well take the offer and be glad for it. I’m not sayin’ that’s the case here, but there’s also no basis for assuming she has no other means of support or source of income outside of her employment with the Beast.

Somebody with wealth is always looking for good investment opportunities. Considering how well Hillary did in her cattle futures investments, I could see a wealthy person hanging out with her for investment advice.

More seriously, I'd be really curious as to what her other sources of income are, because she is obviously not living on just her reported salary from Hillary.
