That and the fact a number of reputable polls have Fred in the #2 spot nationally is good enough to earn my support.
Wave the flag for your guy, by all means. But it makes no sense to run down another good candidate in the process.
Of course I would have rather seen Thompson, as every other politician in Washington, as hot about the illegal immigration problem as long as I have, but Thompson is speaking out strongly and unequivically on this issue now.
***The problem with Road-to-Des-Moines conversions is that you can’t trust them. The candidate obviously doesn’t consider the issue a priority.

***Well, maybe if we have that conversation on one of those threads, it would be pertinent. This is an immigration thread. The reason why Thompson is hardlining on immigration is because there’s a lot of heat over this issue, and if that’s the case it would be important to keep it clear who has kept the consistent stance on this important issue.

***My candidate criticised him, so I feel it is acceptable to criticize him on this issue. If that’s running him down, then why hasn’t there been a big backlash against Hunter for violating the 11th commandment? There’s a certain point where you need to discuss the merits of one candidate versus another.
