In this thread: Dumb posts we’ll see on the O’Reilly Factor.

"the officer couldn't come up with a reasonable explanation for the noose." How 'bout, "Well Chief, I think we should hang people who commit hate crimes."

Boudreaux and Thibodaux never learn. I am not sure any of the current crop will learn:
You DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT...
.."not" to be offended by someone else's words, thoughts, bias, or disposition.
If they commit the crime to threaten or assault you...
Then deal with their overt BEHAVIOR...
We have criminal law and civil remedies just for that purpose....
Yumpin' Yiminy...

During the first days of the first Gulf War, my Father-in-law drew up a fine likeness of Sadaam and hung it by a noose from a pole outside his business. An African American woman stormed into his business and ordered he remove it as it was insenstive to all blacks. Hopefully he told her (politely and with respect) to blow it our her backside

Tip-toeing dangerously to Reductio ad absurdum let’s follow the logic here....since the KKK used to burn crosses we can expect hate crime charges for anyone displaying a cross?

It was there to constantly remind him of “The Good Noose”.

Freedom of speech? Inarguably stupid, but I dont see a constitutional mandate against stupidity.
He wasn't thrown in jail; he was fired. Employers are free to fire their employees for stupidity. Freedom of speech has nothing to do with it.

Or if we don't. (They'll get to decide after the fact.) That's a racist comment!

I thought the hangman's noose would be a symbol of "law & order" but that's just me. Where's the ACLU? It is coming to his defense?
To: TornadoAlley3
The only way to stop this crap is to band together and have a National Tie a Noose Day,,10 million nooses hanging around,,should do it..

Pretty soon, blacks will be offended if we smile at them.
Not blacks in general. Just idiots that also happen to be black.

Not blacks in general. Just idiots that also happen to be black. Excellent point.
I stand corrected.
