The big four have all these advisers. Why do they need so many people doing work for them?

Ever run a campaign?

Been part of one?

There is a LOT of activity to get your candidate where he needs to be, with the people he is going to talk to, and the continuing research that never stops.

All this takes organization, and the best people you have in place to control the activities the better, otherwise as a candidate you get stuck doing the admin work and not campaigning.
