Why are we paying for any cable TV for the “poor” in the first place?

cable for the poor? i guess we’re gonna foot the bill for their new tv, the electricity to run them and the house to secure it all... GEZZ........ I’m gonna quit work and get me some of this...

Bread and circuses. Make sure they have cable, so they don’t spend time trying to figure out why they are poor, or what’s going on around them.
Doesn't the Constitution set as one of the enumerated powers of Congress, "to provide television, radio and other entertainment services for free to people who will vote for Socialists." I know it's in there somewhere.
We've clearly entered the Bread and Circuses phase.
Why indeed? I have always joked with my kids that we are the only family in existence without cable TV (by choice, might I add). Apparently, it's not a joke anymore.

Because they got used to watching their favorite shows while they were in prison. Is this a great country or what?!
No one asked me for a financial statement when we got cable.
I don’t have cable because I cannot fit another bill into my budget. Why are the poor getting it for free???
