If you're happy to just agree with a bunch of other, unnamed people, that's fine, but you posted that "without question" there is brainwashing going on, something you have offered zero evidence of.
I prefer to think, and not just go with the herd--any herd. (Which is why I don't watch TV.)
If television doesn’t influence popular culture, or behavior of viewers, then advertisers have wasted trillions of dollars trying to influence potential buyers.
The widely held theory of TV’s influence is like the theory that the sun rises in the east. Most rational people just kind of accept it. I never thought there would be any disagreement with the concept.
