Looks like the Expedition 16 crew will be bring Discovery home about mid day Wednesday

A friend sent me these images. Some of he best I've ever seen

I never knew you could see land details, especially beaches from that high up.

Yeah, you can...It’s pretty incredible. Don’t know what beach your seeing though. But I would guess sandy regions would stand out.

I was thinking to myself that I absolutely can’t grasp the concept of space distances. I saw a picture of a comet with a tail that was 18 light years long. Give me the number in millions of miles, my mouth would start to foam and I’d twitch. Nevermind the number, trying to grasp how long it would be... I absolutely love astronomy and space, but just cannot for the life of me grasp those distances.

That seems lite to me. You are saying that is 18 years traveling at 186,000 miler per second. Its too late and I’ve had two drinks. 105 trillion miles. I’m going to bed.
