Reagon was entirely right - the eucalyptus trees he was referring to emit hydrocarbon vapor. Just imagine, the natural environment “pollutes”.

Call me paranoid, but this strikes me as the (anti) intellectual foundation to bring about the ban on burning wood in stoves and fireplaces. I think there is another agenda here.

Another angle I heard was the trees are dark colored and cleared forests are lighter colored from space. Ergo the trees absorb and hold heat close to the ground and desert reflects back to space.
CUT THE TREES NOW!!!, for the children.

But you can’t burn ‘em. They will have to be buried very deeply so they don’t decompose either. I wonder how much gas the chain saws and caterpillars will burn to do that?

Carousel Mall in Syracuse NY is going *green”, too; all connected with the building of Destiny. I was thinking about the impact on the environment of the manufacture of all that green paint used to repaint the mall.
