Another approach that is needed is, in terms of Federal Law, make it ILLEGAL to knowingly transport any individual ACROSS A STATE LINE who is in the United States illegally. The transporter, as well as the illegal alien himself having crossed a state line, will have hence committed a federal crime.

It can be done with transporting weapons, minors and people (kidnapping) at the federal level...so it can be done with respect to illegal aliens.

This by far, at least in terms of law, would clearly make them criminal, the ones who ventured from California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas to another of the 46 states.
