Here 's this sunday's Media Nuggets
###### Why MSM shower praise on Powell? Because Powell Tried To Use Blair To Undermine Bush.
###### If things are so bad, why are they so good? -> Despite the Gloom, More Bush Boom.
###### Giving "Journalists" what they deserve! Get a Clue from Germany! Big Brother Eyes German Journalists. It may soon no longer be a good idea to tell a journalist something confidential over the phone in Germany. It would also perhaps be prudent to avoid sending e-mails, faxes or text messages. In the future, sources might be better off furtively intercepting reporters on their way home, writing letters, or sending smoke signals. Good Job, Merkel!
###### Journalism Confusion! -> Violence In Iraq Way Down. Escalating violence = civil war & Decreasing violence = confused journalists!
###### A Challenge to Time Magazine! -> to Get Their Facts Straight on Iraq reportage.
###### MSM Reporter bully U.S soldier in Baghdad Calvan, a Baghdad correspondent for McClatchy Newspapers admits his efforts to "bully" a U.S. soldier who stopped him at a checkpoint outside the Green Zone. Now there are demands that McClatchy should recall that Baghdad reporter

When you stop and think about all the BS President Bush has endured in his two terms you have to wonder how he remains such a gentleman right to the end. The guy is truly a class act no question.
You might no always agree with what he does but its impossible not to respect our President unless you are truly deranged.
In fact, following the 3.8 percent growth rate for the second quarter, the U.S. economy has posted its strongest quarterly growth in four years.
But listening to the Democratic presidential debate on Tuesday, you'd think it was 1929 all over again.
The print and broadcast media do not give President Bush much credit for his economic policies. But somehow I have to wonder whether low unemployment, strong growth, negligible inflation and record stock markets do not deserve just a bit of praise.
It is still the greatest story never told.
Oh anita. What a great article. I copied some of that article for this thread. That first sentence of the last actual paragraph and the last line are so powerful. The DBM is ignoring the good news entirely. I really despise the broadcast and print media these days. Thank God for FR.
It's always amused me how the jobs that are open are included in the job cut list.
Rather than just eliminating the openings, they have to make it "Chicken Little"..LOL [buttwipes all]
Thanks so much for your contributions, anita. So much fascinating and valuable information every week.
Thanks again. Anita. Your media nuggets are always terrific!
With the cowardly FSOs refusing to do what they promised to do, when they entered the US Foreign Service and gave an oath to carry out ALL of their orders, there likely will be more stories in the not-too-distant future about the State Department under Powell’s and Armitage’s “leadership.”
Americans will see the TRUE face of Colin Powell.
