These are starkly different diseases and outcomes.
For all of our candidates I would like to see them discuss and disclose their medical records, and I would like it done now, rather than after the MSM disclose it for them.
One last question, what percentage of voters know about Freds
cancer? Also do you think this info will change any general
election voters minds?
As someone with personal experience with melanoma, you are not cured. McCain must be examined regularly for the rest of his life to check and see if another questionable lesion returns anywhere on his body.
I trust you heard Thompson's response on his physical condition on MTP. Do you really believe he would run for President if he believed that the possibility of not surviving his first term due to his illness was a real question? And don't you think that he would have access to the best level of care as President?

What I object to is using the "C" word to torpedo a political candidate. You can bet the Hillary campaign, indirectly, will try to use it against Fred, Rudy, or McCain should they be nominated. The problem is that some voters may very well change their mind depending upon how the issue is played. Frankly, the average voter is not well-informed or knowledgeable about a lot of things. That said, it is not going to affect my vote.
I forgot to add that Bill Clinton never did release all of his medical records.
NHL comes in a variety of forms related to genotype. Some with a certain genotype die miserably even if caught early. Others with a less virulent form will die if not caught in early stages.
Fred Thompson’s NHL is of the form with a good genotype, was caught early and is treatable with an expected survival surpassing his life expectancy. He will die of old age.
There are many different kinds of NHL with many different survival rates. Fred's NHL is indolent, which means that it is slow moving. Fred's oncologist as stated in no uncertain terms, that Fred's illness should not effect Fred running for president.
You are spreading misinformation when you use the survival rates for all NHL's and you apply it to Fred.
