You can't focus solely on the survival rate of POWs under the Germans and ignore the survival rate of civilians under the Germans.
Besides, if the Germans had managed to gain a stalemate, or, Heaven forbid, win the war, those POWs would have been disposed of like so much rubbish.

You can certainly make the case that the leaders of each side were genuinely horrible many Japanese and German soldiers took great personal risks to do the right thing. You could certainly argue that they were the exception but words like "ALL" are very dangerous.
You’re forgetting the Soviets, who were worse than the Nazis.
