University of Delaware Suspends Indoctrination Program

a general observation from trips into the wood that applies to
this event at The University of Delaware...

KICK OVER A ROTTEN LOG...
AND WATCH THE VERMIN RUN FOR COVER!!!!!"

Looks like "light" is the best disinfectant for the Ideological
POISON that American Universities think they can charge parents
$30,000/yr/offspring!!!

I'm increasingly (and mildly) optimistic about the future of the USA...
...because I suspect someone at The University of Delaware had
to breath deeply before they exposed this putrefication to the
general US public.

“And he sounds like a prize squish-head who himself has been brainwashed beyond rational thought.”

Yes, and “squish-head” is exceedingly generous. Take a look at his master’s thesis:

60 pages of drivel but he’s one of several assistant deans of students at DePaul University and runs his own consulting firm on the side.

He’s a one-trick pony. The description of his session at a workshop in April reads exactly like the short-course you quoted from coming up later this month at DePaul. Someone with time to waste should do a Google search to see how many dozen times he’s apparently given the same presentation

The workshop I just linked to was given last spring at the annual meetings of two professional assocations for college “educators.” Look at their home pages and weep:

The proliferation of middle level bureaucrats with degrees not in some field of scholarship but in “university administration” or “higher education” is what has killed college education in this country. These folks are why tuition keeps rising—they outnumber faculty if you add them all up and in many cases are better paid.

These folks are the reason higher education in this country is beyond redemption.

Note the RA in comment 2 was threatened if he didn’t get in line. This is criminal behavior.

1) I am so happy that FIRE blew open this case. I work in the student affairs office and the place went crazy when the letter from FIRE arrived. THe truth is that they created a well intended program, but crossed the line in many ways. Yes until this week the program was mandatory and they have temporarily suspended the mandatory nature of it, but once the attention goes away especially with Parents Weekend arriving they want to look good. Boy can they lie.

2) I have been an RA for the past two years and have not been comfortable with this program. It has gotten out of hand and demanding of students. Yesterday I was approached to be an advocate of the program. Several of my RA friends have been asked to be available for talking with the press. When I declined I was taken aside and told that my future as an RA was in jeopardy as was future a student. I decided to stand-up for myself. I read the university response to FIRE and they seem to want to divert the attention away from the programs flaws and talk about how FIRE make U Del. students look. Well it was U Del. students that had the backbone and insight to bring this issue up to FIRE. Go Hens! FIRE believes in us.

The University of Delaware has suspended a program that had recently come under fire for being nothing more than an indoctrination program. The program required residence hall students to acknowledge "all whites were racist."

RACISM (N) Prejudice based on an individual's race;

The program is by definition racist. It is prejudging the majority of America based on race.

cynthia tucker is the most racist journalist I have ever read. She's from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She can make anything appear to be a race problem.
