A Spokane public school newsletter to the families of elementary students omits Christmas from it list of important dates in December.
The list includes Hanukkah, Human Rights Day, winter break, an Islamic holy day, the first day of winter and Kwanzaa. But no Christmas.
A district spokeswoman, Terren Roloff, says "In our efforts to be inclusive, we missed the obvious."
After some parents complained, the district added Christmas to the online version of the newsletter.
