A marriage amendment is a good way to get the BIG GOBBMINT out of the marriage issue, The courts are part of the big gobmint. Without the amendment we will have all the state gobmints fighting over the issue, and one state fighting another.

Actually, the amendment fred supports is the right one. It says no state has to recognize the marriage laws of another state. That solves the problem, while leaving the definition of marriage to the states. It's not the feds business.
