What works even better is that "knuckle thing"; make a fist, and start counting toward the little finger with your index finger - the knuckles will always be the long months - and as you get to July, you start over at the pointer with August...the only consecutive months with 31 days.
This simple axiom got me laid a lot of times in my early drinking years; impressive bar room mathematics....
No need to leave, just ignore the jerks.
Congratulations and good luck to your new Marine.
I’m with you I am happy to send $25 to help out. Let us know where to send it.
You boot.
I graduated 37-plus years ago at MCRD San Diego.

Both of you are boots. I graduated from Parris Island almost 41 years ago (March 8, 67, or thereabouts)... Had a real SERVICE NUMBER, not the phony SSN stuff they did later.
Not a prob but do remember we’re here to help!
Military Campground in Mission Valley S.D. maybe 15 min from MCRD real nice place.

Call first and make sure you can car camp. Explain the situation. Have your boy tell the DI he needs to send Mom a photo copy of his ID Card so she can get a space. She will likely need to fax it to the office to reserve a spot.
Not sure if she is flying or driving... Either case she can bring or get a Pop Tent and a sleeping bag from Big 5 for next to nothing. (She will be safe at AB Field. There are always lots of old GIs and Swab Jockeys as well as their sweet wives around happy to hammer any bad guys stupid enough to come on the facility (and they are good company). The weather is fine right now.. A Pot, Pan and Spoon, Small Cooler and a little propane camp stove and she should be good to go.
Oh and “STFU” guy.
If you ever were a Jar Head, you assuredly need to check your head space and timing cause your way out of line here.
Marines don’t abandon a fellow Marine (or his family) in a time of need.
So cool it, this is a FRiendly place where we care about one another..
Even care about you..

I attended my son's graduation from MCRD boot camp in Oct 2001.
A woman finding random people’s places to crash at on the Internet?
That’s a great idea!
By great, I mean terrible. :p
