The number 100,000 has been used since the 1972 national debate on abortion. That’s how many women died in America due to illegal abortions.

In what year?

Whoa! You’re misreading my post.

In the national debate on abortion preceding Roe v. Wade, the pro abortion side constantly screamed about 100,000 women dying from illegal abortions each year. This was the time frame from 1970 to 1972 that this argument was used.

They were lying though their teeth. The number was actually 39. But the hysteria helped create the climate where the Supreme Court struck down the abortion laws in all 50 states, and then CREATED NEW LAW, a power they did not have, to get Roe v. Wade.

Leading pro abort Dr, Bernard Nathanson, admitted in later years that the 100,000 was a total fabrication made out of whole clotth, to gin up the hysterics. He later went on and changed his mind and became a pro life advocate, producing the famous film “The Silent Scream”.

Roe v. Wade was also based on a lie, which should have invalidated the whole case.
