Back it up, restore.
I don’t know but isn’t this how it works.
They could never kill this website so why bother.
Disrupt it for a bit maybe but why bother. The only answer seems to me that these creatures purposely want to provok us even more. One would ask me “Why would you do something so stupid to piss the Westerners off even more” And I would reply “I dunno, I’m not a goat humping Muzzie”
Can’t you just eventually filter out the DNS attacks? I have no clue.

So what if you inadvertantly back up a file system that contains a virus or some other bad thing. Then you restore the system. I assume by restore you mean re-writing the backup to the disks drives. The virus is still there.
So you may say well use disk mirroring, in case a hard disk drive system ( Windoze works a lot differently then UNIX, Linux, and other opertating systems in how file systems are interpreted, for instance in UNIX/Linux systems there is no such thing as drive C,D,E, blah blah.), bottom line is the file system on the mirrored disk would also contain the undetected virus.
It is not possible to go through the many things involved in maintaining a very safe and reliable system, in a few simple sentences.
