You’re right. There’s nothing “Christian” about putting on a costume, using one’s creativity and imagination, acting silly and having fun together as a family with our friends and neighbors. That is for devil-worshipers.

The Bible tells Christians specifically not to adopt the practices of pagans and make them a part of worshipping Him. He tells us in His word how he wants to be worshipped and co-opting a pagan holiday and pretending they’re Christian is not what He told us to do.

hmm as a Jew I could never understand how christians could celebrate halloween.
I’ve always associated halloween with guarding the synagogue from youths who would throw eggs and shaving cream. It was always a bad time...I remember one time being chased by some kids in costumes when I was coming home from high school. The next day I walked to the same spot and noticed there were some eggs on the ground. They missed.
