Rush is doing in-depth comments about Sen. Obama and why he has not gathered any strength.

You can always catch Stephen “Vodkapundit” Green’s account ... it’s usually far more entertaining than the debate.

I would like to know what Bush has done ...being Pro-life ....for those people who say they will never vote for Rudy. Bush is Prolife and I think abortion is still legal.

Hi All, CC27

Gees, last night football game was going into overtime. I took a 30 second phone call. When I got back to the TV the game was over. It was a decent game though.

Here was my reply to Pookie about that Sergeant cartoon today.

"I wonder if Ben Sergeant would draw similar cartoon with the caption on the computer screen being something like this and DIM Left on the shoulder?"

" Desperately seeking candidate. Must be combination of Randi Rhodes, Al Franken, George Soros, Chriss Matthews...."

Hillary launches preemptive debate strike

By: Mike Allen
Oct 30, 2007 09:28 AM EST

Expecting rival Democrats to unload on her at tonight’s debate, aides to Hillary Clinton are trying to frame the attack with a cheeky Web feature headlined “The Politics of Hope.”

The posting is intended to focus viewers, voters and pundits on the attackers rather than the substance of the attacks, which is a standard practice of the Clinton campaign.

The feature went up this morning on HillaryHub.com, the campaign’s official news site.

Among the posting’s unusual elements are links to articles featuring attacks on Clinton. That showcases her campaign’s effort to convince Democrats that Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) has turned his back on the new kind of politics he once had promised.

Making his national debut as he delivered the keynote address to the Democratic National Convention in 2004, Obama asked: “Do we participate in a politics of cynicism or do we participate in a politics of hope?”

Clinton’s campaign links to a YouTube of Obama at the Democratic National Committee winter meeting last February, saying: “Over the next year of a primary and … the next two years leading to the election of the next president, the campaigns shouldn’t be about making each other look bad. … [O]ur rivals won’t be one another. … We are tired of a politics of division. We are tired of politics of fear. We want a politics of hope. We want a politics that unifies this country.”

The Web feature then links to headlines about the vow by Obama and his campaign to be more aggressive in pointing out differences with Clinton, including “Obama Taking Gloves Off,” “Taking Aim at Clinton” and “Obama to Showcase Tough Side.”

A second YouTube shows John Edwards, who attacked Clinton yesterday as part of a corrupt “political dynasty,” themes similar to the idealistic Obama, and even using similar words: “Let me say this VERY simply. If you are looking for the candidate that’ll do the best job of attacking the other Democrats, I’m not your guy. I believe this election is much bigger than that. … Our campaign is not based on the politics of cynicism. It’s based on the politics of hope. … We don’t believe in tearing people apart. We believe in bringing people together.”

A HillaryHub headline then links to: “Edwards Shifts Focus To Integrity.”

When asked yesterday about a speech by John Edwards accusing Clinton of coziness with lobbyists and corporations, her campaign replied with an attack on the attacker: “If Mr. Edwards is so concerned about the influence of special interests, he should give back the hundreds of thousands of dollars he’s taken from health care, securities, and insurance companies.”

The two-hour debate, at Drexel University in Philadelphia, begins at 9 p.m. Eastern on MSNBC. It’s moderated by NBC’s Brian Williams, with questions by Timothy Russert.

Bad move ... now someone as facile as Edwards will have time to develop a snappy comeback.

Rush cites what President Bush said about the do-nothing Congress and in a special way about having investagations. Hmmmm, I wonder what President Bush is talking about, a certain recent bruhaha on a certain “smear” done to Rush say?
