Crystal Cathedral
It's an all-star conference set for the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, Calif., Jan. 17-19.
Former President George H.W. Bush will speak.
Chuck Colson will make a presentation.
Larry King will be there.
Rupert Murdoch will address attendees.
Ben Stein will appear.
And Kay Warren, wife of Saddleback Church mega-pastor Rick Warren, will join Robert Schuller, the white-haired, bespectacled purveyor of "possibility thinking."
What could such a diverse group have in common? What's the topic?
Well, it's a little vague.
It's called the "Rethink Conference," and Schuller promises 30 "Aha!" moments from the 30 different speakers confirmed for the event.
Not everyone is thrilled about this meeting of the minds. Some, including Christian author and former New Age devotee Warren Smith, suspect an agenda to subvert the church to take the focus off biblical truth and absolutes.
"From my perspective as a former New Age follower, I believe that Robert Schuller's mission has always been to 'rethink' and 'change' biblical Christianity into something 'new' as in New Age/New Spirituality," he says.

What about Osteen? comments?
It really doesn't matter what Stein says. What he DOES is support radical left wing candidates with his money.

Here is Robert Schuller from his travesty of a book Self-Esteem: The New Reformation:
If only we could love ourselves enough to dare to approach God, what constructive dreams he would give us! What noble possibilities God wants to reveal to uspossibilities that would offer stimulation plus real security in service. But we feel too unworthy. So one layer of negative behavior is laid upon another until we emerge as rebellious sinners. But our rebellion is a reaction, not our nature. By nature we are fearful, not bad.
Original sin is not a mean streak; it is a nontrusting inclination. The core of original sin, then is LOTLack of Trust. Or, it could be considered an innate inability to adequately value ourselves. Label it a "negative self-image," but do not say that the central core of the human soul is wickedness. If this were so, then truly, the human being is totally depraved. But positive Christianity does not hold to human depravity, but to human inability. I am humanly unable to correct my negative self-image until I encounter a life-changing experience with nonjudgmental love bestowed upon me by a Person whom I admire so much that to be unconditionally accepted by him is to be born again. (66,67, emphasis mine)

Given Schuller's outright heresy, why would any Christian leader associate with him?
Thought Partners??? - Did someone somewhere decide already and announce it on the nightly news that we are all in need of Thought Partners now? Are Thought Partners included in the registration fee or do they cost extra and how much for the trade marked Thought Partner Brain Chip? Installation?
So Schuller denegrates the Martyr Latimer who was burned alive at the stake for Christs'sake and says the Reformers were wrong...Sola scriptura was inadequet....we need a new reformation of self esteem, self agrandizement, self actualization, and I say self ad nauseum. Jesus said SELF was the very problem. But Schuller and his tribe offer a new reformation, an improved reformation, a delusion of Self idolotry. God have mercy on this country, born from the caldron of the reformation, only to turn to idols. It is an all too familiar refrain.
SOLA SCRIPTURA, Sola CRIST.
