The shockwaves continue from a small protest this month against a Muslim Family Day at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington.
A court hearing is set for today on a request for a preliminary injunction against the Florida man who organized the protest. And appointment of another of the protesters to a Carrollton board has ruffled feathers in that city.
Khalil Meek, board president of the Muslim Legal Fund of America, said the Muslim groups support the protesters' right to voice their opinions. What they object to, he said, is their allegation that the Muslim organizations, and therefore Six Flags, support terrorism.
The groups have filed a lawsuit accusing the protest organizer, Joe Kaufman, of defamation and slander and have obtained a temporary restraining order that prohibits him from harming, threatening or inciting violence against them.

Even with their loses against Daniel Pipes and ACAIR, the Islamists still hope to destroy the opposition through the sheer quantity of their harassing suits.
How exactly does “Muslim Day” work? Are non-Muslims not allowed in? If so, what is required as proof?
And when will Six Flags be holding their Christian Family Day?
Newsflash:
Constitution Flushed down the crapper in Texas.
What KIND of temporary order?
ex parte temporary orders are granted against inanimate objects.
The news media screws up the law again.
“What they object to, he said, is their allegation that the Muslim organizations, and therefore Six Flags, support terrorism.”
Not sure if they can prove any verbal or physical allegations were actually made...
If the mere presence of the group of “counter-protesters” were insinuating that there is a connection, that is only because the people (muslims and other patrons and staff of the event) observing made that conclusion, not the group counter-protesters...
Slander and defamation need tangible testimony or physical evidence to prove...Thats why video taping and recordings work so well in these cases...For example nooses hanging from a tree, inciting or vulgar speech levied against a person(s) because of some religious or racial slant, etc etc...
From a practical sense Six Flags probably had no intent to promote this to excuse a general connection between a faith and its connections to an intolerant islamofascism sect within that faith...
So for balance I would propose that Six Flags create a White Anglo-Saxon Protestant Family Day to balance the sheet on this and see if the muslims come out to counter-protest that.../sarc
That would be a hoot! But figure those odds...
It won’t be long till Six Flags sponsors a Gay Day!
Six Flags has had a Gay Day.
Undoubtedly financed with petrol dollars funneled from their home countries.
*That* kind of money, BTW.
...buys a shit-load of *justice*. ;^)
A TRO that says do not break the law?
Ski masks for guys, burkas for females if the males allow them to go.
Truth is an absolute defense in a defamation suit. Prove that these organizations do indeed support terrorism, and not only do you escape the defamation claim, you prove that supporters of this "tolerance" are enemies of freedom.
a temporary restraining order that prohibits him from harming, threatening or inciting violence against them.
Nobody is threatening or inciting violence against these filth. As to "harm," if it is harmful to expose them for what they are, then that harm accrues as a result of candor, and is not actionable. Indeed, it is a disservice to try to squelch that fact.
Actually, I think you could. I believe private parties can rent Six Flags for their membership, and have it be otherwise closed to the general public. So if a large enough Christian group wanted to buy out the park just for their memberships, in theory they could
Actually, I think that the more worrisome, more insidious bottom line to this is that it is heading down the same road as the “hate speech” argument. Anytime you want to silence someone, all you have to do is brand them as “hate speech”. In this case, they are going to brand them as “inciting violence”. It’s the same damn thing: a way to silence you opposition. Of course, when the Muslims riot, with their signs, that will never be hate speech or an advocation of violence. (I don’t really need the sarc tag, do I?)
