Great thread Lauren!

I love those spicy pumpkin seeds! When we were kids the BEST treats for me were the home made things. The pumpkin seeds still warm from the oven, some folks gave out warm roasted peanuts in the shell and roasted chestnuts.

Some people made chex mix also served up warm.
Home made cookies and popcorn balls carmel apples, home made cake donuts and warm spiced cider greeted us little goblins.

Of course there was the store bought candy, but we sought the houses that made the fresh stuff.

Yep, I so agree, we knew the houses that had the home-made goodies, and headed there first, before they were all gone.

I can just always remember those gooey, sticky, wonderful caramel apples. My mom would only let us eat a few bites at a time. Sheesh, LOL!
