We all know the consensis is %100...
Albert Algore Jr told us so...

You know there is a model that predicts warming. All it has to do is calculate the movement of 3 billion cubic miles of gas at over a hundred different varying rates of temperature over both a liquid and solid surface each of which possesses its own rate of temperature change. All the while this mass is moved by surface and high altitude winds. Nothing to it dontcha know! Oh I forgot: All of its predictions are for fifty years away. They are conclusive then even though they can’t predict the weather next week.
Remember how well the model for global cooling worked?

Well, it just might have a bit more impact if it were from a different source.

Remember how well the model for global cooling worked?Yeah, it was something like this:
"The globe has been cooling slightly for the past few years. If we extend that trend out 10 years, we see a massive, impending ice age and we're all doomed."

"The globe has been cooling slightly for the past few years. If we extend that trend out 10 years, we see a massive, impending ice age and we're all doomed." Ya know, come to think of it, it hasn't rained here all day. If I extrapolate that out for 10 years, can you imagine the human carnage! No rain for 10 years! No Crops! No Food! No Water! We are all DOOMED! AAAAAGGGGGHHHH!

What does it matter what the source is? The truth is what should matter.

The only problem with these FR Global Warming threads is that there are no dissenting opinions.
There was one guy who tried and gave up.
Otherwise it has become a dittofest.
It’s like the MSM USA Today, NY Times, PBS and liberal media in reverse. There are no dissenting opinions there, therefore man made Global Warming becomes the truth.
Here, we just laugh at them because FReepers actually read something besides the crap that is shoveled down people’s throat.
Left wing environmental loons and their MSM partners have managed to turn Earth into Bizarro World.

Oh BS.
Anytime an article from WaPo, NYT, LAT, etc is posted that has a liberal point of view it is immediately slammed as biased, inaccurate, planted, or anything else that will diminish it's impact; usually with good reason.
Conversely, many of the articles posted are from the opposite side of the spectrum, and very rarely receive any questions about their slanted view; again, usually with good reason.
But this article does not need to be read to understand it's slant.
A site with the address "clean-coal.info"....with a GW topic.
If the same article came from a research group, NASA, UN, a university, hell, from a myriad of sources, it might be newsworthy.

If the same article came from a research group, NASA, UN, a university, hell, from a myriad of sources, it might be newsworthy. If the authors were identified, they would be chastized as being ignorant, unfeeling, and (no matter who paid their salary) in the employ of "big oil".
Propaganda works...when it is repeated enough.
We must not allow ourselves to only "consider the source", but to "follow the money", and "research the evidence". The truth is out there. (thanks Mulder)
