When I saw the title of the thread, I thought it had to do with the NEXT possible government shutdown (Halloween, of course) because the dems and our governatrix refuse to cut spending.
My husband works in Lansing but I haven’t heard a thing from him! That looks closer to the Tower than the state capitol building. I DO hope it’s just a drill.

Heck, we haven’t had so much as a single bomb scare in Baghdad lately, let alone Lansing.

A package left in a crosswalk in the middle of an intersection?
Doesn’t sound like a big terrorist target.

It's getting kind of boring around here.
I'm ready for Iran. ;-)
(Actually, I am thoroughly enjoying the...difference here.)

Small blurb on
Lansing State Journal website. It's a Gannett newspaper so it can't be posted at all.
So far so good, no rumblings from downtown yet...

I just got back from Turkmenistan.
Everyone there that I asked about the war said:
What war? You mean the one in Iraq that ended 3 years ago?
That wars over and the USA is just policing the place.
Amazing what the liberal media can do!

“Weber kettle.”
That’s the first thing I thought. Maybe just an impromptu Rib Fest.
