Don’t care what you think either. Do you care to address to higher than average suicide rate among Mormons or the higher than average anti-depressant usage among Mormons?

I didn’t think so.

+++++++++++++++++

I will.

As a person with one of the depressive illnesses, I know how people deal with this kind of illness. There is bassicly two ways to handle the problem, self medicate with alcohol or illegal drugs, or go to the doctor and get the afor mentioned medication. Given that most members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints do not drink alcohol or use illegal drugs we use doctor prescribed medicines.

I'm often surprised to hear the LDS defense that it is because they go to their doctor and don't "self medicate." So in essence you beleive there is as much value in drinking Alcohol or taking drugs. You DO know that there is a correlation with LDS depression and increased suicide among them. So if Mormons commit suicide at a higher rate, it seems the medication is less effective than drinking. Right?

There is a better way than going to the Doctor. Go to the Lord in humility and Don't Fret!

Dr. Scott has a wonderful sermon Psalm 37: How to keep from Fretting

Yeah, I know modern science tells you it is a chemical imbalance, but the Good Book has all the prescription you need for emotional pain - -if you put your faith in Him and it. I'm pryaing for you fproy. Turn it over to God, then let it go.
