The candidates below don’t believe that the right to life is God-given and therefore unalienable. They mistakenly believe that states’ rights trump the unalienable right to live. They’re the modern equivalent of Stephen A. Douglas in 1858:

I have a question for you. Would you be in favor of a global government that would ban abortion for everyone in the whole world?

Of course not.

The way I read scripture, and understand history and God’s will, nationalism is, and always has been, part of His plan for humanity.

What does that have to do with the form of government God gave us through the founders of this country, and the principles which have always provided the foundation and framework for its continuation and blessing?

But, that is not to say that God-given rights are not universal. They are. And America still has a calling from God to model these principles to the world. From the very beginning, we were meant to be a shining city on a hill.

Unfortunately, because of a diminuation of the principles in discussion on this thread, that heavenly light has dimmed. For example, tens of millions of children are being slaughtered in the womb in various countries, because of the awful example that has been set for the last 35 years by the people of the United States. “Hey, if the world’s moral exemplar, America, thinks it’s okay, it must be okay, right?”
