Amen! Fred is the conservative you vote for because the Republican Party has become too shallow and liberal to support a real conservative and good man like Duncan Hunter.

Why not vote for a real Conservative then, even if say Hunter goes third party? I understand why people will just say "there's nothing I can do, might as well vote for the lesser of two evils", but at the same time we will always end up with the lesser of two evils unless we do something - either take back the party or put another one on par with the main two parties.

“Why not vote for a real Conservative then, even if say Hunter goes third party?” Duncan Hunter isn’t going to go third party, at least not this time. “...either take back the party or put another one on par with the main two parties.” I don’t see the Republican Party being anything but the minority party in the future, with a possible chance to get the White House this time around. What exactly is there to take back? In the end it comes down to demographics, changing populations and cultural decline. A Third Party would be nice, but where is it going to come from? Some fraction of the Republican Party is just that, a fraction of the Republican Party, and the country is already divided evenly, ideologically speaking. A successful Third Party would have to split the Democratic Party also, and I don’t hear anyone suggesting how that might be done. On the other hand, I’m a Christian, and to my discredit, I’ve already wasted way too much time trying to better the world through politics and the Republican Party. It isn’t working. If the Republican Party continues turning against the Christians that helped give it the majority, Christians won’t have any choice, but to get out of it. I’ve already got one foot out the door, and the other one isn’t anxious to get me to a Third Party where I can waste more time.
...Anyhow, I do wish that a good man like Duncan Hunter could win the Republican primaries, and if he were to go Third Party, which he won’t, I would vote for him given a choice like Rudy, but not if Fred gets the nomination.
