Bella's central theme puts a premium on the value of human life - including life in the womb - and that is a value Hollywood just won't tolerate. And it will irritate them to no end when this film makes even more people pro-life.

If we go to the movie, they will make more movies like this.
I heard the people involved in making the movie interviewed both on EWTN and by Dr. Richard Land. Dr. Land said the movie is POWERFUL!

The Washington Post reviewer panned it. Of course.

Our pastor talked about it from the pulpit. It was the lead story in our archioceson newspaper. The word will get out.

Predictably, Bella got only a 38% approval rating by the oh so sophisticated literati at Rottentomatoes.com. In other words, walk don’t run, to your local cinema when it comes to your area - it’s bound to be an inspirational, life affirming message. In other words, everything Hollywood hates.

Unfortunately its not showing anywhere near me. I hope it will come out on DVD eventually.

Rotten Tomatoes, a site for reviewing movies gives Bella 38%. It also gives Jimmy Carter Man From Plains, which," Does for Carter what An Inconvenient Truth did for fellow Nobel Peace Prize winner Al Gore" gets a 68% http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/bella/ http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/man_from_plains/

We saw it yesterday. It is a beautiful movie — the message is subtle but powerful, you are not hammer-knocked between the eyes. The dilema is very real, the solution quite thoughtful. In between it is just lovely. Well-made, beautifully filmed, good writing. See it several times. Take the teens. There are not even any bedroom scenes — how refreshing.

This movie really is a gem. I had to drive 50 miles to see it but it was worth it. It is definitely on my future DVD purchase list.
