To a degree it’s happening. It’s not quite as political as most of us think, but it’s reasonably close.

Those who are really wealthy (and there’s nothing wrong with that) from both sides of the aisle, have quite a bit in common. Their social circles certainly do intertwine like a bad strand of DNA. This particular circle does not only comprise of the wealthy cognitive elitists, blue-blood Republicans, etc.

If you have ever had the “opportunity” to visit someone living in a wealthy gated community, you will really see this.

I agree. I don't know if it's quite as political, but I can really see some trying or hoping to politicize it, especially in socialist circles, nanny state thinking.

Those who are really wealthy (and there’s nothing wrong with that) from both sides of the aisle, have quite a bit in common.

I don't see anything wrong with that, per se, the beef I have is with those who do look down their noses at the rest of us. Sure, it's likely to happen between various groups. I mean the kind who fail to see their 'help' staff as people, etc.

Their social circles certainly do intertwine like a bad strand of DNA.

I, too, have seen the really blue bloods and also some very 'hick' folks.

It's funny to read of, or see on Law & Order, lol, a blue blood hobnobbing on the down low with, for example, cheap hookers - how sometimes someone in a particularly elite group will be drawn to the lifestyle of someone in a very different group.
