KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) -- U.S.-led coalition forces killed about 80 Taliban fighters during a six-hour battle outside a Taliban-controlled town in southern Afghanistan Saturday, the latest in a series of increasingly bloody engagements in the region, officials said.

US leads the way, always in any international conflict. Damn british left this town to “ tribal elders” and it became an al-qaeda/taliban infestation... We are taking it back and doing things the right way. Just shows we can’t count on Nato or the EU for jack. Sick and tired of this war, its been going on for way too long. Time to bring out the big guns and get down to business, nuke the f*ck out of tehran and damascus!
They say that as if it's a bad thing, "The latest in a series of school shootings..." but when it's Taliban blood, this is a good thing. It smacks of desperation on their part (and, come to think of it, on CNN's part too).
