You might want to check out a book called “Going Postal” by Terry Pratchett. There is a version of Cockney Rhyming Slang in the (absolutely hilarious) book.

Found it!

Thank you very much for the recommendation!

I've always loved Cockney Rhyming Slang, and that's one of the reasons why I often peruse the UK Sun ....  if one can wade through the endless idiotic celebrity gossip trash, they occasionally have a stellar article, and oftentimes it's punctuated by Cockney Rhyming Slang.

An example (not of a 'stellar article', but of Cockney Rhyming Slang):

Balding star's wiggo Jacko (Experts claim Jacko wears a wig - One of the worst I've ever seen )

Wacko Jacko’s mad dash to court in his pyjamas is said to have let the cat out of the bag on his syrup

London Slang - S

syrup of figs - Rhyming Slang for for 'wig'. e.g. "See that old bloke over there, is that a syrup he's wearing or what ?".
