ROUND ROCK, Texas— If he wins his bid for the White House, Democratic presidential candidate Bill Richardson might be just the man to get to the bottom of the 60-year-old Roswell UFO mystery.
Answering questions at a town hall meeting Friday, a Dell employee asked Richardson about the 1947 incident in which many people still believe a flying saucer landed near the eastern New Mexico town.

"What do you want me to do? You want me to open up all those files?" he asked the alien enthusiast, who answered that he did.

Okay, I can not tell you where I read this, but it is believable.
Supposedly, the USA was using an advanced earlier version of over the horizon radar to tell when the USSR detonated a bomb or launched a rocket or missile. There is a radar reflection from these events off the change in the surrounding atmosphere. This radar relied on balloon hoisted antenna in the Roswell area. One of these came down. It was found. The USA very much did not want the USSR to get the idea we could monitor their testing. UFO rumors were alledgedly started as a cover story for the truth of the A-bomb and missile monitoring.
True or not, I don’t know, but it is certainly more likely than UFO’s in Roswell in 1947.

No, it hasn’t faded away at all. The MSM ebbs and flows in their mention of it—mostly avoiding it unless forced to locally by events.
The phenomenon still goes on in various regions in waves. Evidently they change geographies from time to time. One region will have a rash of abductions and then another.
Some claim they are monitoring ecological collapse factors. Some say they need the cow blood themselves. etc. etc.
But the awful and much more hidden truth is the numbers of people who’ve been abducted AND TREATED JUST LIKE THE COWS.
