Romney has a proven track record as a leader in business, in his home, and in Government. He has also shown that he can be persuaded to more conservative policies. I can support almost every policy that he has listed. This policy mix can unite the Republican Party a lot easier than Rudy Giuliani. But most important, he has the resources to run a tough National campaign and win by appealing to Reagan Democrats.

I hope you don't take offense, but why do you insist on talking so vaguely?

"I can support almost every policy that he has listed."

What the heck does that MEAN? "Listed" where? I wasn't asking about policies he has "listed." I asked about some very specific things:

Could you please address:

1) His implementation of a socialized medicine scheme in Massachussets (this bothers me greatly);

2) His past support for open homosexuals in the military;

3) His anti-NRA statments;

Again, before the past 3 years, can you show me any evidence of his conservatism? I think I can make a very strong case that Thompson is far more conservative, and has far better name recognition, so based on that, I don't see electability on his side either.

I'm just trying to understand. And I'm frankly beginning to be bothered by the fact that Romney supporters are so vague in their justification of him. It's almost as if they're hiding his (and their?) true beliefs.

Say what you want about Guiliani, but at least he's up front about being pro-abortion. I believe Romney has the same beliefs, but he continually tries to hide them.

Thanks,

Hank
