Poll: Romney grows lead in NH
A new poll of New Hampshire Republicans shows Mitt Romney is gaining ground on his Republican rivals.
A Rasmussen Poll released today shows Romney grew his lead from 3 percentage points to 9 percentage points in a month over his nearest opponent, Rudy Giuliani.
Romney now has 28 percent support compared to Giuliani with 19 percent and John McCain with 16 percent. Mike Huckabee creeps into double digits with 10 points and Fred Thompson lags with 6 percent.

Let me just say that FR has given me quite an education on what some people will do to rationalize things that I thought I would never see Conservatives embrace.

Actually, he is. The liberal media just isn't reporting it. He's producing radio ads and has just mailed a 12-page brochure to residents.
Isnt it the paultards strategy to put everything they have into NH, and carry the Big Mo with them to victory?
Not necessarily. Paul's strategy is for a good #2 place finish, which will still put him in primary position on Super Duper Tuesday. Regardless of what happens, Mitt isn't winning NH.
Which probably wouldnt happen anyway, given McCains and Buchanans examples.
Very specious comparison. Paul has more cash on hand than McLame and has more volunteers in NH than the other candidates.
Mitt has no real support.
The GOP establishment and RINOs are backing Rudy. Conservatives and rank-and-file Republicans are backing Fred. Libertarians, independents, and the old right is backing Dr. Paul.
Mitt may have the millions but he doesn't have a cohesive message. Without a message & a non-existant grassroot support, Mitt has nowhere to go but down.
It’s amazing, ain’t it?
Our whole political class is awash in it.
It’s going to take our country the rest of the way down if it isn’t stopped.
We are of like minds.

My friend, I have come to a reluctant conclusion, Fred cannot win. Katherine Harris is a better campaigner than Fred. Wishful thinking about converting the Nation into your viewpoint will only flush good money down the commode. Certainly you don't regret the money you gave Katherine Harris. But I bet you a Glock that you regret losing.

That must be how she talks to the “family.”
When it comes to the general election, should she be the nominee, she will have the monotone, subdued voice that sounds so unnatural.
Wow! Thank you for that powerful post!
Many so-called “Christians” have let their ugly prejudice blind them from a really amazing man and his family.
He is too good for them, I think.
Let’s pray that we don’t make a mistake and pass him by!
Check this blog out and read it detail Mitt Romney’s plan for strengthening the family:
http://mydryfly.wordpress.com/
The family is the foundation for everything else.
When a man has a family that he loves, he will work hard to provide for that family.
When a man has a family that he loves, he will take up arms, if need be, to defend that family.
Strong Families!
Strong Economy!
Strong Military!
Mitt Romney - 2008!
I am making a list of FReepers that are backing liberals and a kook.
Count me as one of those staunch Freeper conservatives who is backing Romney.
And yes, please do save the links so you can remind us of our rationality and rightness in supporting the most effective, family supporting, value oriented, business-friendly, pro-Life, telegenic and charasmatic candidate the GOP has run since.... since Ronald Reagan.

Put me on your list, also — that’s “bethtopaz.” A pro-life, pro-family, pro-fiscal conservatism, pro-strong national defense, PRO-troops and their Mission, anti-islamofascism, anti-illegal immigration conservative Republican for Mitt Romney 2008! Please ... put me on your list. I will be proud to be there!
Hell for 50 Million + spent, he should be a 80%.....

With all due respect to a fellow Republican, by what you said you show a pitifully small knowledge of how to run a campaign.
I have come to the conclusion that you suffer from delusion. Enjoy it while America crumbles from the lies and deceit.

I read your profile and it’s great! You have lots of great recommendations for reading.
Thomas Sowell is amazing, isn’t he?
“A pro-life, pro-family, pro-fiscal conservatism, pro-strong national defense, PRO-troops and their Mission, anti-islamofascism, anti-illegal immigration conservative Republican”
Good monikor. I like that.

Even better!!
OK, I have to ask you something.
First, let me say that if Mitt gets the nomination, I’ll certainly support him over Hillary. And I do admire his background as a businessman and particularly with the Olympics.
I believe he is a good and decent person. I don’t have anything really against him at all. And while I support Thompson, I have no illusions that he is a perfect candidate at all. I’m not exactly a passionate Fredhead.
But honest-to-goodness, I just don’t get Romney’s appeal to anyone who considers himself a conservative.
He instituted a socialized health care plane in Massachussets. His conversion to the pro-life position was awfully late in life and awfully convenient. He has ripped the NRA (well before he turned around and joined them). And he has supported homosexuals in the military.
Granted Massachussets is a liberal state, but he didn’t do anything particuarly contrary to the leftist zeitgeist there. So....I don’t get it.
Unless you’re a left-of-center Republican, why would you support him over ANY of the other candidates, including even Guiliani, who at least has good records on taxes and crime?
I don’t mean to be contentious. I’m seriously curious. Romney is the only guy who I look at and say “I just don’t get it.” For every other candidate, I can understand (if not agree with) the reasons for their supporters to back them:
Guiliani - 9/11 leadership, taxes, crime, celebrity.
Thompson - Quite conservative voting record. Pro-life. Celebrity.
McCain - War hero. Pro-life. Good on defense/security issues.
Huckabee - Pro-life. Great debater. Solid social conservative credentials.
Tancredo/Hunter - Excellent conservative voting records. Tancredo is superb on immigration; Hunter is excellent on defense issues.
But Romney? I can’t see how he could inspire anyone, unless it’s on the basis that he is squeaky-clean. And that’s nice, but not much of a reason to vote for someone.

BOB DOLE!? BOB FREAKING DOLE???
You criticize Rudy whilst expression admiration for the foremost RINO of our era?
Bob Dole was a joke of a candidate and an embarrasment as GOP senate leader. There was no socialist scheme for which he wouldn’t offer a Lite version, so he could remain every Democrat’s favorite Republican.
Thank God for Phil Gramm. Dole had the boys all set to sign on to a dime-store version of HillaryCare when Gramm stood up and said “over my dead body.” Talk about a man to whom the nation TRULY owes a debt!
Even so, I voted for Babbling Bob. But that was ONE time when I was truly was holding my nose while voting GOP.
Bob Dole....give me a break.
Hank
