I can see your point, especially after what happened to SoS Condi Rice this week. While my support for her has lessened over time, to allow that woman with red hands to get that close to her is somewhat terrifying. Where was her security? Why does the Capital Hill police allow those people within the building?

I have said this before on other threads, but what is happening now in the United States reminds me of what I read in The Rise and Fall of the Third Riech about the Weimer Republic. This is exactly what the socialists and communists did to silence debate and speeches.

institutions that will denigrate their whole up-bringing

FWIW - it is my opinion that we need to stir clear of words like up-bringing (implying transitory idea that individual parents have) and use words like culture.

The real issue is our culture is at stake, and ultimately our lives.

To the left, all cultures have value except for conservatives, then we are, to them, the root of all evil.

I know that the word up-wring ultimately means the same thing, but it is important that we as a group recognize what is really at stake -- our culture, then our lives.

It’s really creepy but I had the very same thought (image) come to mind when I first read this article. I could sort of see like, Lenin, or Marx at the rally. And you know, these sorts of people don’t take hostages. And as well, when you read this article, it sounds like many in the crowd were foriegners, probably students here to study and they don’t have any understanding of how political discourse has been conducted “American” style in years past. The thought that the Leftists can recruit and swell their ranks with foriegners is truly frightening because you could easily get that “mob” mentality going and all hell could break lose. The one thing, (Thank God) we’ve got going for us is the 2nd Amendment! For that right I will take to the barricades and I’ve got reason to believe there are a whole lot of folks who think just like I do. I may die, but I won’t die alone!

Unfortunately, these schools are gun-free zones and I would bet that the majority of the students have been indoc’d to view guns as evil. Being a gun-free zone however, will not stop the leftists/facists in eventually bringing clubs with nails in them and the like.

Conservatives need another group to counter these animals.

They need to be stifled and forced to allow conservatives to deliver their speeches. COnservatives like Coulter need protection from physical attack by these lunatics.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see random acts of civil unrest breakout all across the nation during the upcoming ‘08 election resulting in the intimidation of many causing them to stay home. We may be about to witness the periodic break down in civil society altogether. And I for one am at a complete loss about how to stop it.

You can't. The breakdown of civil society is inevitable whenever representative government exists. You can't blame King Mob from acting like a king.

This is why I am a monarchist. Representative government always leads to chaos and tyranny on the end. The reason is simple: because people need and want to be led. Because of this innate desire for leadership, any society in which "power rests with the people" is actually a society in which power is in the hands of demagogues that "the people" follow.

Given the power of modern media to rouse the rabble, it's inevitable that sooner or later we are going to face a major breakdown of public order in this country. Once a sizable minority of the voters becomes convinced that our national elections are rigged, manipulated, or otherwise invalid, we are going to see some real hell. Imagine a future election in which the Party A candidate narrowly defeats that of Party B due to hanging chad or some such nonsense, leading Party B's candidate to proclaim the election a fraud and himself or herself "the people's choice" — the true President of the United States. A charismatic rival president could put millions of people in the streets, causing chaos. The crisis would create headlines around the world, with associated economic effects. Members of the Party B candidate's Congressional delegation might back his/her claim, creating confusion among foreign governments about who is really running the show in Washington. If the street action were to get out of hand, Party B's candidate might even appeal to the UN for help in "restoring order" and "supervising a fair election". Even worse, if Candidate B's candidacy rests primarily on ethnic appeal, we might see divisions rise within our armed forces as members of Candidate B's ethnic group refused to act against "the people". It could get ugly, fast.

Ultimately, a representative form of government devolves into mob rule. A king can be a tyrant, but no king in history has ever had the power of King Mob. Since we are to have a "king" anyway, it makes sense to have one that is born to the job — immune from politics, trained from birth for leadership, and beholden only to the Natural Law (and the Church).

But we won't have one until the West's ugly experiment with self-deification grinds to its inevitable end. The final failure of representative government will bring with it a dark night of spilled blood and ruined lives — but after it will come a new dawn of order, faith, and rational, traditional human government.

Video of this event should be used in a GOP ad on national TV. We need to show the American people what Marxist the Left has become and Emory needs to be disgraced. The leadership of the GOP has a ton of video and anti-American, anti-military rhetoric from the Left to create some incredible ads.

I couldn't agree more. In fact, if the Evil One wins in '08, things could get so bad I wouldn't be surprised if there was a military coup.

The breakdown of civil society is inevitable whenever representative government exists. You can't blame King Mob from acting like a king.

That may be the direction we've been going, but that is not where the USA started. The Founding Fathers understood that direct democracy was bad, and even that full representation of all citizens was bad. That is why they originally only gave the franchise to landowners, who were also the real producers of society. Our main problem now is that we keep moving farther away from a Republic and closer to actual democracy.

When only landowners could vote, there was no motivation for voters to put in office those who might try to use government to control and redistribute wealth. Now that we have every social parasite in the country voting, including those who are citizens merely by accident of birth to parents who illegally invaded our country, it is not surprising that they vote primarily to take money from the producing members of society and redistribute it to the parasites.

If we get this conflict on, and have another Constitutional Convention to fix what went wrong since 1783, we should allow the vote only for military veterans who own property.
