The human race will one day split into two separate species, an attractive, intelligent ruling elite and an underclass of dim-witted, ugly goblin-like creatures, according to a top scientist.
The top scientist is apparently still living in the early 1900s. The human race has always been able, through technology, to sidestep many evolutionary pressures altogether, and as our technology grows, evolutionary pressures become increasingly irrelevant for us. Genomic research, biotech advances, nanotechnology - all will allow humans to determine their own development.

Don’t be silly.
By the time the Global Warming wing of the liberal movement is done with us, there won’t be any technology allowed.
Evolution will hold sway again as we fight over resource limits we are prevented from using technology to circumvent.
