He makes a magnificent inaugural speech. He talks tough on terrorism and everything else we're expecting a serious man to say.
Within a week of his Presidency, we'll see Chavez, Ahmadinejad, Castro(?), Zawahiri, ect, taking their turns holding up a photo of the President of the United States dressed-up as Marilyn Monroe.
Has anyone considered this?
I also believe that Rudy Giuliani would lose the general election to Hillary Clinton. His liberal positions, alienating conservatives, combined with an expected relentless media assault against him that would focus like a laser on Giuliani's family problems and sometimes abrasive nature along with any former financial dealings they could portray as 'questionable', inferring dishonesty, would make a Giuliani candidacy futile and almost ensure that a woman who most Americans don't really want to be president might very well end up squeaking by and sitting in the Oval Office in January of 2009.
That cannot be allowed to occur and can only be prevented by Republicans, especially conservatives, getting fully behind a candidate - likely to be Fred Thompson - and dumping Rudy Giuliani in the primaries. I expect this is the way it will play out because Rudy Giuliani is simply not a viable Republican candidate and I don't need Pat Buchanan to tell me this. Most conservatives know it already and will disabuse Rudy of his presidential ambitions (on a Republican ticket, at least) in the presidential nominating primaries to come. Rudy Giuliani will not be the GOP nominee.
This will harm our national security in what way?
Nobody normal.
