This thread is a wonderful example of how the right is dying. We killed the GOP in about 96 or so, and now it is the whole conservative movement.

We eat our own on issues that don’t matter. Like, yes, abortion.

Enjoy Hillary. Maybe you guys will have fun but I won’t.

******************

Abortion is one of the reasons Giuliani is unacceptable. The others are gun-control, immigration and homosexual unions. And yes, there are no shades of grey on those, either.

Being exclusive in accepting support is a losing game.

Hey, if you think using poison to help fill your cup to the brim is advisable, there's nothing I can do about it.

How many abortions will the next president perform? How many will they stop?

None.

It doesn’t matter what a President thinks. Not one bit.

So you can vote for someone you don't trust, or vote for someone you don't trust. Hmmmmm. . . .

If it comes down to those two as a choice, I'm voting third party.

I want a president who is pro-life, pro-second amendment, pro-traditional marriage, anti-illegal immigration, and more. If none of those issues are important to you, vote for Giuliani.

FNC seems to be doing a pro abortion special called “facing choice”

seems they are trying to anecdote it into justifying it.

just saw a promo interview. it seems very pro-abortion.

No Giulaini, NO PROBLEM.

Don’t vote Giulaini in the primary and then Giuliani does not divide the party in the general election.

IOW Giuliani = Hillary.

Until recently, Rudy did everything possible to show unflinching support of abortion - including partial birth abortion. He has lost my respect. and he knows he is wrong.

It doesn’t matter what I do in the primary. That’ll be decided long before my vote. In the primaries we’re just spectators out here.

If you think Rudy=Hillary then there’s no point in me wasting any more time on this discussion either. May you wear your chains lightly. Be well.

When are conservatives going to wake up to the fact that people like Medved are more deadly enemies to conservatism and to the American creed than liberals who wear the Democrat label?

I don't think he's an enemy, he is an effective apologist for who I suspect he expects to be the nominee.

I agree with you completely. He's an opportunist, on this and other issues he can't be trusted.

If abortion really is murder, why not support the death penalty (or at least life in prison) for both mother and abortionist? At least 25% of all women have received abortions, but I've never heard sane advocates for human life suggesting we should execute or imprison these millions of females.

For all the black and white folks out there: If abortion were banned, would you support the death penalty for abortionists and mothers who choose to have an illegal abortion?

If not, why not? You must put to death the mother and any accomplices if you are consistent in your position that abortion is equal to or worse than homicide. Yet I've never heard someone make this argument...which is proof in itself that abortion is not a black-and-white issue.

If you consider abortion murder, I don't, you would have to.

Personally, a mother getting an illegal abortion, I'd support some level of punishment, though not as severe as for the abortionist.

I'd be tempted to vote for Lincoln, and let him sort it out.

With respect, you couldn't be more wrong.

Although Lincoln hated slavery his whole life, he was perfectly willing, even during the first year of the war, to allow it to exist in the states where it was already legal.

Run that concept by the bitter-end pro-lifers on FR and see where it gets you.

Seems pretty black and white to me.

There are probably tens of millions of American voters who believe that

(1) dismembering an unborn child six weeks before birth is a dreadful crime, and

(2)causing an unborn child two days after conception to detach from the womb is really no big deal.

Do you want these millions of voters going Democrat? Telling them that if they condemn (1) they must also condemn (2) is a good way to make that happen.

This proves Medved's point. Do you have 'compassion' for murderers? If abortion is murder, then it is certainly pre-meditated and should carry the same punishment as a homicide, IF it is equivalent or worse as some are saying.

The fact you won't support a punishment that 'fits the crime' proves that you don't really think abortion is murder of the same degree as homicide. So, you are saying it's 'not as bad'.

You are a troll who is trying to get pro lifers to appear to be loonies - as did the director of Lake of Fire who mostly interviewed real wackos. A very common trick.

Mr. Giuliani's candidacy has smoked out a lot of liberals who have fooled themselves and others into thinking they are conservatives.

For that, and only that, I thank him.
